Beulah M. Miller

Mrs. Beulah M. Miller, age 94, of Miller Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 4, 2011. She was born on March 3, 1917 in Ashe County, NC to the late Presley and Myrtle Phipps Greer. IN addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Miller; a son and daughter-in-law, Vaughn and Ella Miller; an infant granddaughter and five brothers. Mrs. Miller was the oldest member of First Freewill Baptist church and attended faithfully until her health prevented her from doing so. She enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens and especially loved caring for her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Miller is survived by her son, Garland (Mary Ella) Miller of Mountain City, TN; daughter, Shelby (Clyde) Stout of Mountain City, TN; five grandchildren: Shirley (Frank) Woods, Carol (Tony) Stout, Jimmy (Martha) Miller, Debbie (Keith) Setzer, David (Kathy) Miller, nine great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and an honorary' granddaughter, Michelle Atwood. Also, a special thank you to Kristy Maze, Pam Bunton and the employees of Amedisys Home Health Care. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at First Freewill Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Billy Poe Jones, Rev. Frank Woods and Pastor Teddy Lewis to officiate. Music will be under the direction of the First Freewill Baptist Church Choir. Graveside Service and Interment will conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2011 at the Phillippi Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jim Miller and David Miller; great grandsons: Eric Woods, Jason Miller, Cody Stout and Chad Stout and great great grandson, Dalton Eller and Keith Stetzer and Tony Stout. Family, Pallbearers and friends are asked to assemble at the church by 10:30 a.m. on Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. At other times, the family will receive friends at the homes of her daughter, Shelby Stout, 416 Miller Road, Mountain City, TN 37683 and/or her son, Garland Miller, 854 Pleasant Valley Road, Mountain City, TN 37683.
