Woodrow Scott Orndorff, Jr.   Woodrow Scott Orndorff, Jr, age 49, of Abingdon, VA and formerly of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at his residence. He was born on May 29, 1969 in Welch, West Virginia to Gloria Shores Taylor and the late Woodrow Scott Orndorff, Sr.  In addition to his father, Scott was preceded in death by his dad Conley ‘Bud' Taylor and by his son, Joshua Dollar.   Scott enjoyed collecting brass things and antiques. He liked Nascar and just being outdoors. Scott loved helping others and especially spending time with his family and those who knew him best knows he had a good heart.   He was a member of Ackerson Creek Christian Church and had been attending the Apostolics of Abingdon, VA.   Those left to cherish his memories include his mother, Gloria Taylor; son, Woodrow Scott Orndorff, III, sisters, Darlene Orndorff and husband Charlie, Michelle Salyer and husband Dennis, brothers, Lance Taylor and wife Joanna, Preston Orndorff and Eddie “Bo” Taylor, grandchildren; Gage Dillon Grissom and his pride and joy Woodrow Scott Orndorff, IV, several nieces and nephews, special niece and friend Keishia Taylor and several great nieces and nephews.   The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Billy Morefield and Tim Furches officiating.  Graveside service and interment will follow the funeral service Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Cornett Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Isiah Ross, Todd Morefield, Robbie Morefield, Danny Eastridge, Travis Grindstaff, Joseph Orndorff and Brian Shelton, Honorary pallbearers are Anthony Heath, Tandy Williams, Steven Salyer, Tim Furches, Lamar Bowman, Chris Arnold, Jeremiah Burns, Rick Grindstaff, Dallas Furches, Jesse Grindstaff, Harold Cornett and David Cornett.   At other times the family will receive friends at the home of his mother, 1638 Redbrush Road, Mountain City, TN 37683.   Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.mountaincityfh.com .
