Willie Mae Dickens, age 85, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Watauga Medical Center. She was born on March 16, 1934 to the late Wilb and Vada Dugger Ward of Johnson County. Willie is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Millard Elijah Dickens, several brothers and sisters and her sons Billy Joe Dickens, Larry Dickens, James Edward Dickens, Donald Dickens, and infant son.   Willie was known as a hard working lady who had a passion for gardening and flowers. She loved her family dearly and would do anything for anyone. It was in her nature to take care of others, including her beloved cats. Willie attended Locust Gap Baptist Church.   Those left to cherish Willie’s memory include her daughters, Valerie Wilcox and husband Jeff, Nancy Dickens, Sharon Brewer and husband Junior; sons, Tommy Dickens and wife Donna, Norman Dickens and wife Debbie, Kevin Dickens; sister, Jennie Lee Steiner; brothers, Earl Ward and wife Kathy, Tom Ward and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.   A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Baker’s Gap Cemetery with Pastor Shannon Courtner officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael Dickens, Dustin Bunton, Daniel Dickens, Kevin Dickens, Norman Lee Dickens and Jeffrey Wilcox. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. John Whitlock, Daniel Jones, Steven Spencer, Shannon Courtner, Ed Walker and Keith Guinn. Following the service, the family will receive friends at Locust Gap Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.   Condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.mountaincityfh.com.   The family of Willie Mae Dickens has entrusted her services to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S.
