William "Bud" Odell Keys

William “Bud” Odell Keys   William “Bud” Odell Keys, age 64, of Mountain City, TN passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the Johnson County Community Hospital.  He was born October 9, 1955 in Ashe County, NC to Walter Thomas Keys and Lena Ether Farmer Keys. In addition to his father Walter Keys, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Keys and Shorty Keys.   Bud was known as a kind hearted man that loved his family very much.  He had a special love for his mother and his nieces and nephews. Bud had a good sense of humor and loved to joke with people on all occasions. He worked for Perry’s septic tank services for over 30 years. When he wasn’t working he loved to garden, especially tomatoes and peppers. Bud also enjoyed farming which he did for many years with his brothers.   In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include; sisters, Carol Aldridge and husband Donald of Lenoir, NC, Barbara Isley of Jefferson, NC, Esther Smith and husband David of Granite Falls, NC; brother, Sammy Keys and wife Kim of Creston, NC; special friends, E.J. Perry, Dugger Darden and several nieces, nephews and cousins.   The family will receive friend from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Big Laurel Mennonite Church with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev.
