Wilbur Burkey

Wilbur C. Burkey of Shady Valley, known to many as Will, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at age 60.  Will was born on October 30, 1963 in Pennsylvania to the late Clarence M. and Mary L. (Hawks) Burkey.

In life, Will was a kind and caring person and was best known for his lively personality and sense of humor. He enjoyed four-wheeling, muscle cars and collecting snow globes, but the most important thing to Will was always his family.

He is joined in Heaven with his parents, Clarence and Mary Burkey along with two brothers, Buster and Brad Burkey and one sister, Ferinda Steely. He is survived by his sister, Dottie Harris of Shady Valley and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, all of who will remember him fondly and miss him dearly.

The family of Wilbur C. Burkey has entrusted his care to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S. Church Street, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.
