Whitney Nicole Thompson –Myer Chant

Whitney Nichole Chant age 36, of Mountain City, TN passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Johnson County Community Hospital. She was born April 15, 1989 to Belinda Lee Jones Myer-Thompson and the late John David Thompson-Myer.

Whitney had a deep love for her family, she always put everyone else first and herself last. She was a very strong genuine and caring person, who never met a stranger. Whitney was the mother of four beautiful children.

Whitney was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pennsylvania and attended Mountain City Baptist Church, in Mountain City, TN.

Those left to cherish her memories include her mother, Belinda Lee Myer-Thompson; fiancée, Austin Huggins;

daughters, Hailey Marie Chant, Cora-Lynn Huggins, Luna Mercy Lee Huggins; son, Eric Kenneth Chant; brother, Jonathan Daniel Thompson-Myer of Pennsylvania; grandfather, Donald “Donnie” Jones nephews, Jonathan Daniel Thompson-Myer Jr., Cameron James Thompson-Myer; nieces, Macey Lee Thompson-Myer, Holley Elizabeth Thompson-Myer; mother-in-law, Cindy Huggins; special friend, Aubrey Smith and many more; several cousins, aunts and uncles.

The family will receive friends from 3-4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 26, 2025 at Nelson Chapel Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike McNutt and Pastor Daniel Jones to officiate.
