Wanda Graybeal Woodard

Wanda Graybeal Woodard, age 65, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023 in Charlotte, NC. She was born September 9, 1957 to John “JB” Graybeal and the late Erma Dean Richardson Graybeal. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her husband John Woodard; son, Benjamin Mullis and her daughter, Jolene White.

Wanda loved helping her dad in the garden. She drove a school bus for many years for Ashe County School System. Wanda loved her family very much and was a loving mother and grandmother. She also enjoyed word games, crosswords, flowers, and genealogy.

Wanda loved the Lord and was a member of Sugar Tree Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish memories include her father John “JB’ Graybeal and wife Frieda; son, Kenneth Faircloth and wife Zelda; step daughters, Becky Faircloth and Diane Cornett; son-in-law, Forrest White; grandchildren, Anthony White, Aimee White, and Matthew Faircloth; brothers, Johnny Graybeal and wife Jennifer and Ronnie Graybeal and wife Patti; special aunt, Nancy Eldreth; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. on Monday, August 7, 2023 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dustin Farmer officiating. The graveside service will follow at the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens in  Jefferson, NC.
