Vanessa Potter

Vanessa “Brownie” Potter, age 65, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at her home. Vanessa was born on January 29, 1957 to the late Bruce Pearson and Dorothy Pearson. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Potter. Vanessa had a sense of humor and could always make you laugh, no matter what. She had no filter and would always tell you the truth whether you liked it or not. Vanessa loved music, especially Free Bird. She attended Elk Mills Baptist Church. Those left to cherish her memories include her mother, Dorothy Pearson; sisters, Tammy Potter (Steve), Helen McCoury (Tim), Judy Pearson; nephews, Adam McCoury, Bruce Potter, Chase Potter and special friend, Tim Farthing. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Sugar Grove Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 with Toby Rainbolt officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow at Sugar Grove Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
