Mountain City Funeral Home 224 South Church Street Mountain City, TN 37683 Phone: (423) 727-9700 Fax: (423) 727-4410 Tony Yoggerst Anthony “Tony” John Yoggerst II passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, GA following a brief illness. He was born November 1, 1955 to the late John Robert and Belle Cornett Yoggerst. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Kurt, sister Jacqulyne, and nephew Micheal. Tony was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and accepted Christ as his Savior as a young man. His pride and joy was his family. He adored his two sons and his two new grandsons especially. He loved being outdoors, driving trucks, and spending time on the lake. Old cars were one of his passions. He also loved watching the TN Vols with his wife Susie. Tony worked hard his entire life and was loved by everyone who met him. He was a Godly man and an amazing example. He is survived by his wife Susie of 34 years, son Anthony and wife Lindsey, son Zach; sister Sheri; grandsons William and Winston; mother-in-law Betty Roark; nephew Jason Moody and other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church on Monday, September 28, 2020. Visitation to be held from 5pm-7pm with the funeral service to follow at 7pm. Services will be led by Pastor Jim Norman. Music under the direction of daughter-in-law Lindsey Yoggerst. Graveside Service and Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery. Donations may be made in Tony’s memory to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Building Fund. Pallbearers include Stevie Roark, Jason Moody, Kenny Norris, Donnie Hampton, Wayne Wilson, Ronnie “Tiny” Laws, Randy Thomas, Frank Bass and Dannie Dunn. Honorary pallbearers include Robbie McCulloch, Wiley Roark, Jimmy McCulloch, Tony’s work crew at Field Corp, and the truck drivers at Maymead. The family will receive friends at the home, 201 Walnut Street, Mountain City, TN. The family of Tony Yoggerst has entrusted his services to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S Church Street, Mountain City, TN. ` `
