Tony Robert Greer   Tony Robert Greer, age 71, of Laurel Bloomery, TN, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 17, 2019. Tony was born on March 7, 1948 in Mountain City, TN to the late Stacy R. Greer and Delta Lorraine Ashley Greer. In addition to his parents, Tony is preceded in death by his brother Morris Bury.   Tony was a 1967 graduate of Johnson County High School and an honored veteran of the United States Army having served in the Vietnam War.   Tony was an avid pilot and loved the outdoors, especially his adventures to Pond Mountain. He was a member of VFW Post 6908 and The Nulltown Wingnuts Flying Club. Tony was known for his outgoing personality and never knew a stranger. He will be missed by all that knew him.   Tony was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church.   Those left to cherish his memories include his sons, Stacy Greer and wife Arianne, Nathaniel Greer; daughter, Robin Barbrow; companion, Monette Gentry; grandchildren, Stella Greer and Jeremy Greer; sisters, Linda Faulkner, Vicky Taylor and husband Barton, Deborah Cornett and husband Doug; brothers, Mike Bury, Kim Greer and Eva Jo; sister-in-law, Delores Bury; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also, Tony’s best friends, Van Neely and Kenny Fluegeman.    The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 3:30 to 4:30 P.M. at Mountain City Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 4:30 P.M. Pastor Mike Teague will be officiating and military honors will be accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard. Special music will be provided by Kaleb and Lindsey Cornett.   In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made in Tony’s memory to the VFW Post 6908 in care of Terry G.
