T.J. Corum

Timothy Jared “TJ” Corum, of Zionville, North Carolina, passed away on September 12, 2026.

Never one to be afraid to speak his mind, TJ will be remembered for his outspoken personality and the unmistakable way he carried himself. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed following football, basketball, and baseball.

His children held a very special place in his heart. He is survived by his sons, Dash and Shawn, and daughter, Giorgiannah. He is also survived by his mother, Georgia Potter; stepfather, Gene Potter; brother, Jody Corum; sister, Pam Greer and husband, Larry Greer; half-brother, Johnny “Doc” Church; niece, Mahala Greer; nephew, Clay Corum; numerous cousins and extended family members; and many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Corum; nephew, Camdyn Corum; half-brother, Jeffrey Corum; paternal grandparents, Jeff “TJ” and Ruth Church; and maternal grandparents, George and Ann Trivette, and Mama Net and Bert Trivette.

TJ gave us many memories and a presence that will not soon be forgotten. Those who knew him will remember the conversations, stories, laughter, and moments shared through the years. He will be deeply missed by his children, family, friends, and the many people whose lives crossed paths with his.

While our hearts are heavy with his passing, we find comfort in knowing that he no longer carries the pain and struggles of this world and is now in the presence of the Lord. We hold firmly to the hope that our separation is only temporary and that this goodbye is not forever.

Serving as pallbearers will be Willie Brabham, Joe Buckley, JP Bishop, Thomas Presell, Clay Corum, and Davis Speed. Jesse Corum will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Funeral services will be conducted 6:00 P.M., Thursday at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00, prior to the service. Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 A.M. Friday at Zionville Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Reggie Hunt will officiate.
