Thelma Ruth Thomas age 88, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Glenbridge Health and Rehab. She was born June 11, 1936 to the late Denver Church and Ruby Main Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Thomas; son D.R. Thomas; sister, Rebecca Miller; brother, D.E. Church.

Thelma enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. She loved working and attending yard sales.

Thelma was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memories include her son, Ronnie Thomas; grandchildren, Andrew, Brandon, Nathan, and Lisa; great grandchildren, Forrest and Landon; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Mountain City Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Tony Potter to officiate. The graveside service and burial will follow from Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family respectfully requests no food.
