Terry Johnson

Terry Ray Johnson, age 61, formerly of Mountain City, passed away May 10, 2024 at his home in North Wilkesboro, NC. Terry was born February 16, 1963 in Hickory, NC to Mary Nell Johnson and the late Claude Johnson Jr. 

Terry liked to walk at the park and enjoyed riding bikes. He was a member of Southern Baptist Church in Creston, NC.

Those left to cherish his memories include his mother, Mary Nell Johnson; daughter, Ashley Johnson; sister, Jewel Johnson; brothers, Steve Johnson, Jerry Johnson; grandchildren, Kayla Vencill, Kyler Vencill; nephews, Jerry Dowell, Wesley Dowell Jr., Scotty Johnson, Michael Johnson, David Johnson; special friend, Tim Sales and his friends at Unifi.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on May 16, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Russ Poteet and Tony Childress officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow at the Johnson Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kyler Vencill, Tim Sales, Scotty Johnson, David Johnson, Welsey Dowell Jr., Jerry Dowell, Steve Johnson, and Jerry Johnson.
