Stan Cooper

Earl Stanley “Stan” Cooper was born December 27, 1946 in Farmville, VA.

Stan went home to be with the Lord on June 15, 2025 after a brief stay at Erwin Health Care.

Stan was a man with many stories to share. He was a truck driver by trade and had a love of all things racing, football, and Harley Davidson Motorcycles.

Stan attended Corinth Baptist Church.

Stan was preceded in death by his wife Teresa, his parents and his sister.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Jean and their dog Muffin; his daughter, Missy Sewell; grandchildren, Andrew, Abby, Nathan, Allison, and Marissa; as well as other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4-5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 5:00 P.M. with Pastor Bill Morefield to officiate. The graveside service and burial will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Hillcrest Gardens (Mount Holly, NC). Pallbearers will be Jeff Sutherland, Billy Smith, Mark Brenneman, Zachery Oakes and Roy Seats.
