Shirley Brown

Shirley C. Brown, age 84 of Knoxville and formerly of Laurel Bloomery, TN, passed away August 26, 2025 at Island Homes Health and Rehab of Knoxville, TN. Shirley was born April 16, 1941 to the late Leonard and Ruth Chambers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Bullard, Ola Corum, Opal Hash and brother, Terry Chambers.

Shirley always enjoyed playing a good game of bingo. She also loved going to church and singing, and especially loved when Faye Ruth and Bo would sing too. She loved her son-in-law, Bo, and thought of him as her son and thought the world of him.

Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter Faye Ruth Caldwell and husband Bo of Knoxville; granddaughter, Katryna Santiago and husband Ruben of Charlotte, NC; two nephews and all the staff at Island Homes Health and Rehab of Knoxville.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The graveside service and burial will immediately follow at Stateline Cemetery.
