Sharon Sala

Sharon Sala, age 45 of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Sharon was born on October 28, 1976 in Johnson City, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Vance Gentry. Those left to cherish her memory among many family and friends are Arlen Sala, Shania (Tyler) Powell, Austin Sala, Judy (Blaine) Stout, Vance (Lisa) Gentry, Gene Cousins, Shannon Clark, Tracy, Christie, and Dalton Atwood along with so many others. Sharon loved life, always thinking of everyone else instead of herself. She was the most caring and giving person anyone could ever meet. She loved staying in her camper, having cookouts, and going to car shows. She also loved watching the birds that would perch outside her window sill eating and taking a bath. She was very proud of her children Shania and Austin, they were her entire life. Her Camaro, nicknamed “Mooney” was her favorite FAST time hobby and she could tell you about tearing down an engine without skipping a beat. Sharon will be forever missed, but will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Sharon was a retired counselor from Northeast Correctional Complex. The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Clarence “Bubba” Cannon Jr. officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Arlen Sala, Austin Sala, Vance Gentry, Tyler Powell, Frankie Gentry, and Tra Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Blaine Stout and Gene Cousins. At other times, friends and family may visit the home, 189 Cabbage Patch Lane, Mountain City, TN 37683.
