September Powell

September Laura Jean Powell age 43, of Butler, TN passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born on April 18, 1982 to the late Merle Anson and Barbara Anson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Terry Devon Scott Anson; brother, Jimmy Lee Anson and nephew Timmy Lewis Anson.

Those left to cherish her memories include her husband, James Powell; daughters, Alexis Bedunah and Bailey Kerr; grandchildren, Morgan Burchett and on the way Rowen Lee Kerr; stepdaughter, Kerissa Lillian Powell; brother, Christopher Anson; several sisters; nephew, Jimmy Lee Anson II.

A service will be held at a later date in West Virginia.

The family of September Laura Jean Powell has entrusted her care to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S. Church St., Mountain City, TN 37683.
