Ruth Robbins

Ruth Robbins, age 85, of Mountain City, TN, passed away Saturday March 18, 2023 at the Mountain City Care Center. She was born on February 8, 1938 in Johnson County, TN to the late Richard Kermit Arney and Una Grace Dugger Arney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Stephen Robbins; sons, Kyle Swift and Kraig Swift; granddaughter, Shaundra Price; sister, Mary Jeter; and brother, Wayne Arney.

Ruth was a member of VFW ladies auxiliary in Elizabethton and the Moose Heart in Elizabethton. Ruth was a member of the Butler Chapter #218 of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Westview Baptist Church in Boone, NC.

Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Keitha Ruth Swift; sons, Stephen F. Robbins and Kip Riland Arney, Sr.; sisters, Belle Cable and Martha Dugger; brother, Glenn Arney; grandchildren; Stephen Robbins, Jr., Sarah Brown, Kip Riland Arney, Jr., Bobby Swift, and Courtney Price; great-grandchildren, Jordan Price, Coilin Price, Bartley Price, Nathaniel Cole Brown, and Stephen Swift; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The graveside service and burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Bakers Gap Cemetery with Bubba Cannon officiating followed by an Eastern Star service. Pallbearers will be family and friends.     Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Jim Shine and Daniel Jones.
