Ruby Louise Eller

Ruby Louise Eller, age 89, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at her home surrounded by family.  She was born on January 7, 1929 to the late Carl and Ollie Furches Walsh.  In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband Devon Eller, daughter, Sandra Kay Eller Proffitt, son-in-law, Willis Walker, sisters, Virgie Stout and Lonita Owens, brothers, Frank Walsh and Richard Walsh and grandsons, Richard Proffitt and David Mullis. Louise was a gifted seamstress and worked for many years at various companies.  She enjoyed working word search puzzle books and jig saw puzzles.  She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. Louise was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and charter member of Calvary’s Ladies Circle.  She loved her church and church family and was always involved in various church activities.  Those left to cherish her memories include her children, Betty Jo Icenhour and husband Delmer, Jean Walker, Tommy Eller and wife Nancy and Danny Eller and wife Carolyn, sisters, Janet Martin and husband Bob and Georgia Shomate Pardue, brothers, James Walsh and wife Laverne and Orville Walsh and wife Susie, grandchildren, Andrea Johnson (Billy), Eric Walker (Christy), Kevin Icenhour (Amanda), Michael Icenhour (Jennifer), J. Paul Eller (Trish), Richard Eller (Amanda), Chelsea Matheson, Jadie Matheson (Kimberly), Chequita Meade, Kevin Mullis, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, special caregiver, great granddaughter, McKayla Walker and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the Calvary Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 8:00 p.m. with her grandson, Pastor Michael Icenhour and Pastor Steven Spencer and Pastor Chuck Morefield officiating.  Special music will be provided by the Calvary Baptist Church Choir and great granddaughter, Taylor Walker.  Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Phillippi Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Louise’s memory to AWANA’S, c/o Calvary Baptist Church, 1354 Cold Springs Road, Mountain City, TN 37683. At other times the family will receive friends at the home, 1350 Berry Branch Road, Mountain City, TN.
