Roy Clyde Trivette, age 76, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Watauga Medical Center. Roy was born on September 9, 1945 to the late Russell Trivette and Viola Greer Trivette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Trivette and Junior Trivette. Roy loved his church and was a great outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, camping, and hiking. He loved to build, engineer things and liked welding and fabricating. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a member of Three Forks Baptist Church. Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 57 years, Ann Trivette; daughter, Deborah Hudler; son, Roger Trivette; sisters, Shirley Trivette, Betty Trivette; brothers, Ervil Trivette, Clyde Trivette, Gary Trivette, Kenneth Trivette; grandchildren, Holden, Samuel, and Maddie Hudler, Stacy Kennedy, Tiffany Kerr, Cheyenne Trivette; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jason Cornett officiating. The burial will follow the funeral at Big Oak Cemetery, located near the home located on Trivette Hollow Road in Creston, NC. Pallbearers will be Holden Hudler, Samuel Hudler, Jeremy Munday, Shawn Richards, Chandler Barker, and Cole Trivette. Please follow mask guidelines and practice social distancing.
