Ronald D Greer

Ronald Delmer Greer, age 71, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital.  He was born on December 9, 1947 to the late James L. Greer and Etta Eastridge Greer.  In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by sisters, Irene Roark, Hazel Roark, Myrtle Murphy and Nancy Greer Wilson; brothers, Virgil Greer, Charles Greer and Richard Dale Greer; and two infant brothers.

Ronald loved country music, especially Merle Haggard.  He also enjoyed watching various sports on TV, especially football.  He also enjoyed a good western.  Ronald loved reading and really liked to read newspapers.

He attended Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.

Those left to cherish his memories include his sisters and brother-in-law, Drema and husband Glen Richardson and Martha Collins; brothers and sisters-in-law, John Greer and wife Pauline and Wayne Greer;  special friend, Donna Britt and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Billy Morefield officiating.  Special music will be provided by Sandy Roberts.  Graveside service and interment will follow at the Eastridge Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Matthew Richardson, Bobby Roark, Skipper Roark, Charlie Roark, Abbie Greer and Jesse Richardson.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Ronald’s memory may be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, TN.
