Roger "Dennis" Pennington

Roger “Dennis” Pennington, age 74, of Mountain City, Tennessee passed away on Friday morning, October 31, 2025 at Johnson County Community Hospital. Dennis was born in Ashe County, NC, July 1, 1951 to the late George Pennington and Nell Mock Pennington. Dennis was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Morris and her daughter, Michelle Perry.

Dennis was proudest of his accomplishment of baptism to profess his faith. He was employed for 47 years by the different owners of Parkdale Mills Plant. Dennis spent his retirement years taking care of his family members.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Diana Pennington of the home; brother, Rodney Pennington and wife Roberta of North Wilkesboro, NC; two nieces, Robin York and husband Mike, and Rebecca Anderson and husband Chris; two great-nieces, Taylor York and Grace Anderson; one great-nephew, Logan Anderson; one sister-in-law, Debbie Joines of Myrtle Beach, SC.

A graveside service for Dennis will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Park with Rev. Frank Woods and Pastor Darrell Graybeal to officiate.
