Rodney Charles Kenison (Wazz), age 77, of Shady Valley, TN passed away unexpectedly at home on February 16, 2026. Rodney was born on August 14, 1948, in Lebanon, NH, to the late Glenn Kenison and Beatrice (White) Kenison, and was the youngest of nine children. He grew up in Hartford, VT, and attended Hartford High School.

Rodney had a passion for hunting, fishing, and classic and antique trucks and cars, and enjoyed going to different car shows in the area. He also enjoyed quiet time at home and spending quality time visiting with family and friends. He was a man of few words, but always a listening man, and spoke with wisdom.

Rodney worked for Kelton Motors in Hartford, VT for many years, and then as custodian for the Hanover and Dresden School Districts in Hanover, NH for thirty-four years until he retired in 2015.

Rodney was preceded in death by his father Glenn Kenison, his mother Beatrice (White) Kenison, his brothers Norman, Bradley, Glenn, and Wendell Kenison Sr., and his sisters Phyllis Renner, Marilyn Paronto and Rebecca Townsend.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Terry (Stetson) Kenison, his sons James, David, Christopher, and Clayton (Carrie) Kenison, grandchildren Samantha Olmstead, Dominic Kenison, Michael Blake, Cassandra Brown, Kaedan Brown, and Gabraell Kenison, brothers, Marshall Kenison and Stanley Kenison and and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm, on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S. Church St, Mountain City, TN. A family and friends gathering will also be held at the Pomfret Town Hall in North Pomfret, VT on August 22, 2026.
