Robbie Barnhill

Robbie Barnhill, age 68, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2026 at his home. He was born November 6, 1957 to the late Elsie Springs. In addition to his mother, Robbie was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Hunt, and brother, Ricky Barnhill.

Robbie was a devoted member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and cherished spending time outdoors. He especially enjoyed fishing and camping, but also stayed active mowing his yard and tending the garden. He was often found in his rocking chair on the porch spending time with his beloved wife whom he adored. Robbie looked forward to going on family vacations, his favorite destinations being Gatlinburg and Myrtle Beach. He was also an avid Chevy enthusiast with a particular love of the classic Nova.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 46 years, Scarlet Barnhill; children, Robbie Thomas, Brian DuPerry Sr. (Kristy Dugger), Chrystal Barnhill (Jody Hargett), Cathryn Barnhill, and Teddy DuPerry; grandchildren, Brianna Welch, Sarah-Grace Thomas, Brian DuPerry Jr., Shae DuPerry, Megan Lewis, Connor Dugger, Erikah Norris (Harley Taylor), McGreger Barnhill, Andrew Greer, Dargon “Alex” Christopher, Hanna Christopher, James Barnhill (Kristy Woods), Ben Norris, Winter Hargett, and Aleya Hargett; great-grandchildren, Natalie Taylor, Baelynn Barnhill, and one on the way; brother, Donald Barnhill (Wendy) of Turbeville, SC; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Mountain City Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastors Terry Woods and Brandon Suggs officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Donald Stanley aka “Hard Time”, Nicholas Ferguson, Randy DuPerry, Bud Forrester, Steven Parker, James Hunt, Eli Snyder, Harley Taylor, and Jody Hargett.
