Richard Grubb

Richard Grubb, age 73, passed away May 19, 2026 at his home. Richard was born October 17, 1952 in Middleboro, KY to the late Haskell and Evelyn Grubb. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Grubb and brother, Lee Dan Grubb.

Richard retired from Mountain Electric after over 30 years of engineering and was a proud member of The Gideon’s International. He was also an avid Kentucky basketball fan.

Richard was a member of Nelson Chapel Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Bethany Grubb, Brittany Grubb, Brandi Grubb; brother, Tillman Grubb and wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Jordan Grubb and wife, Jessee, Alex Pennington; great grandchildren, Harper, Aspen and Knox Grubb; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00, Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Nelson Chapel Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. with Pastor Mike McNutt officiating. Richard will be buried at Green Hills Memorial Gardens at 1:00 on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Honorary pallbearers are members of Nelson Chapel Baptist Church and Richard’s former co-workers at Mountain Electric.
