Raymond Wantland

Raymond John Wantland, age 73, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. Ray was born September 2, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley, and brothers, Andrew, Linkay, and Thilman.

Ray was a very kind person who loved his family dearly and always wanted everyone around him to be happy. He enjoyed the simple things in life and was known as a jack of all trades. He loved animals, especially his dogs. Ray was a Vietnam veteran and was proud of serving his country in the United States Marine Corps. 

Those left to honor his memory include his daughter, Jenny Osborne; son, Troy Wantland; 3 sisters, 2 brothers, 14 grandchildren including Haley Hosey who was a special caregiver to Ray; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and beloved companion, Jess. A special thanks to his nurse MaKayla Houck and the hospice team.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the funeral home or to the family.
