Ray Mast

Ray Mast, age 75, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. He was born on March 22, 1951, in Mountain City, Tennessee, to the late Ferd and Carrie Mast. In addition to his beloved parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Earl Mast and Carl Mast.

Throughout his years, Ray was known as a simple man who found joy in the uncomplicated pleasures of life. He was fond of walking and riding his motorcycle. Equally treasured was his Mustang that was more than a vehicle, but a symbol of freedom and adventure. He was a member of Nelson Chapel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughters, Carrie Osborne and her husband James, and Holly Johnson; his sisters, Thelma Hammons, Lois Atwood, and Gay Triplett; grandchildren, Whitley Osborne (Terry), Hayden Osborne (Natalie), Cody Reece and (Britni), Dillion Johnson, , Brooklynn Johnson, and Alexis Johnson; sisters-in-law, Arzella Mast and Phyllis Mast; great-grandchildren, Paizley Wilson, Phoenix Mounts, Zaya Wendt, Landen Johnson, Rylee Reece, Addie Reece, Remi Williams, and Kimber Williams; special nephew Chris Atwood; friend, Danny Taylor and treasured friend, Linda Price, who stood loyal and true throughout his illness which the family will be forever thankful for and several nieces and nephews.

It was Ray's wish to be cremated and no formal service held.

The family of Ray Mast has entrusted his care to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S. Church Street, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.
