Ralph Roop

Ralph Edward Roop, age 64, passed away September 10, 2026 at Mountain City Care Center. Ralph was born March 28, 1962 in West Chester, PA, to the late George Roop, Jr. and Ruby Kennedy.

Ralph was a hard worker and loved his job and co-workers at Maymead. Before his sickness, he especially liked taking his grandkids camping. His loved all his dogs, especially Saint and Lucky, who were his best friends and he considered them part of the family. He enjoyed spending time with them by his side.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 15 years, Lisa Roop; step children, Amanda Attaway, Kenny Roark; brothers, Carl Roop and Robert Roop; sisters, Christine Mullins and Sharon Proctor; grandchildren, Mason and Elena Attaway, Robert, Nick, Alexa, Sara, and Ryan Roark; great grandson, Bellamy; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. The graveside service and burial will follow at Donnelly Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Doug Stanley, Steve Friemuth, and Kenny Roark.
