Phillip David Warden

Phillip David Warden, age 74, of Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019 at his home. He was born August 26, 1944 in Johnson County, Laurel Bloomery to the late Earl Jesse Warden and Ruth Esther Lewis Warden.

David was a graduate of Johnson County High School Class of 1962. He worked for many years at the Johnson County Highway Department and later with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office in maintenance before his retirement.

He was very creative and artistic. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved nature, gardening and fishing.  He had a special four legged friend, his dog, Bella, who he adored.  More than anything, he loved being ‘Dadar’ and was a great father, grandfather and friend.

*David wanted this message relayed to all, ‘If you think you might possibly have the Shingle’s virus, Do Not delay getting checked out by a doctor.*

Those left to cherish his memories include his daughters, Laura Warden Cleaver and husband Richard, of the home and Rebecca Warden Hooker and husband Jimmy; half-sister, Julie Adams and husband Benny of NC; grandchildren, Jonathon Antrobus, Sarah Antrobus, Caitlin Knight, Timothy Hooker and Mary Antrobus; four great-grandchildren and several cousins.

A private service was held on July 10 and a Celebration of His Homecoming will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Taylors Valley Community Center.  An open forum will be held for those who would like to speak.

The family will receive friends at the home 7097 Hwy 91 N; Laurel Bloomery, TN 37680.
