Peggy Morris

Peggy Jean Pennington Morris, age 76, of Creston, NC; passed away February 27, 2024 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Peggy was born in Ashe County on March 13, 1947 to the late George Pennington and Nell Mock Pennington. In addition to her parents Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Christopher Morris and by her daughter, Michelle Perry.

Peggy was a member at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio and attended Big Laurel Church of Christ in Christian Union.

Those left to cherish her memories include her brothers, Dennis Pennington and wife Diana of Mountain City and Rodney Pennington and wife Roberta of North Wilkesboro, NC; two nieces, Robin York and husband Mike, Rebecca Anderson and husband Chris; great nieces, Taylor York, Grace Anderson and great nephew, Logan Anderson; special friend, Dale Perry and special friend and neighbor, Reece Cox.

Graveside service will be on Saturday, March 2, 2024 4:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery with Darrell Graybeal officiating.
