Peggy Johnson

Peggy Lou Johnson, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Franklin Woods Hospital in Johnson City. She was born on December 26, 1946 to the late Shelby Lunceford and Dorothy Lunceford. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Iris Lunceford and brothers, L.C. Lunceford, Ron Lunceford, Carl Lunceford and Buford Lunceford. Peggy was determined, hard worker. She was a loving mother and dedicated grandmother who was a firm believer in family and took great care of her boys. Her sons are honored to call her their mom. She absolutely loved music, especially country, and loved to sing. Peggy was a member of Dyson Grove Baptist Church. Those left to cherish her memories include her husband, Johnny Johnson Sr.; sons, Jarrett, Scott and Johnny Jr.; sisters, Margie Lunceford, Jean Campbell, Pat Moore; brothers, Clarence Lunceford, Harold Lunsford, Jerry Lunceford; grandchildren, Jaylinn Johnson, Johnny Johnson III; mother-in-law, Olive Johnson; several nieces and nephews and many special friends. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Dyson Grove Church Cemetery with Pastor Leonard Fletcher officiating.
