Paul Gentry, Sr.

Paul Gentry, Sr., age 64, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at his home. Paul was born August 13, 1959 to the late Lester and Helen Gentry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Taylor.

Paul was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He particularly liked to share outdoor activities with the children in his life. Paul was a kind man who never met a stranger.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 45 years, Kathy Gentry; daughter, Angela Lipford and husband Brandon; sons, Paul Gentry, Jr. and Lester Scott Gentry; sister, Ruth Campbell; grandchildren, Gage Lipford, Timmy Hatley, Madison Church, Cheyanne Gary, and Nathaniel Gentry; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Berry Dunn officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow from Stateline Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rudi Meher, Wayne Hicks, Jim Price, and James Staton. Honorary pallbearers are David Grubb, Michael Gentry, Brandon Lipford, and Gage Lipford.
