Ola Roark

Ola Rose Roark, age 86, of Creston, NC passed away on Sunday morning, April 13, 2025 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Ola was born on December 7, 1938 in Ashe County, NC to the late Henry Osborne and Minnie Mahala Osborne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell J. Roark; sisters, Maybelle “Cricket” Price and Zell Lewis; brothers, Tracy Osborne, Eula Osborne, and Sherdan Osborne.

Ola was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved the Lord and always stood by her faith. In her earlier years in Delaware she was a dedicated jewelry salesperson for 13 years. Once back in North Carolina she was impactful on her community and was a faithful member of Rock Creek Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memories include her son, Gregory Roark of Creston, NC; brother, Odell Osborne of Avondale, PA; grandchildren, Adam Roark (Soraia) and Joshua Roark; great-grandchildren, Zachary Roark and Ian Roark; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Ola will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Rock Creek Baptist Church with Pastors Anthony Roark, Tommy Stephens, and Jr. Seatz officiating. The burial will follow from the Price-Roark Cemetery on Rock Creek Rd., Creston, NC.
