Ola Marie Spears

Ola Marie Spears, age 98, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Marie was born on January 21, 1923 to the late Eli Coldiron and Clyde Davis Coldiron in Ashe County, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Wilber Spears; son, Dean Campbell in 1986; three sisters, and two brothers. Marie loved music and enjoyed traveling. She spent many years away from this area but later returned to Mountain City. She attended Calvary Baptist Church when she was able. Survivors include her sister, Betty Reece and husband Carol; granddaughters, Lisa and Natalie; five great grandchildren; special friend, Bradis Robinette; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 with Pastor Steven Spencer officiating.
