Ogee Miller

Ogee M. Miller, age 85, of Trade, TN, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Brockford Inn Assisted Living in Granite Falls, NC. Ogee was born October 30, 1939 to the late Caleb Mahala and Ethel Potter Mahala. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Martin Miller; sisters, Juanita Brown, Wilma Meadows, half-brother, Edgar South, brothers-in law Paul W. Potter, Jack Mullins and Howard Brown.

Ogee worked at Mountain City Glove factory for 30 years in addition to being a homemaker and farmer. She attended Centerview Church of Christ until her health declined.

Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Joyce Baird and husband Terry; sisters, Rachel Potter and Lois Mullins; special nephew and caretakers, Michael Mullins and wife Susan along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Mountain City Funeral Home with graveside service and burial following at the Mahala Cemetery, Wallace Rd., Trade, TN with Tony Potter officiating. Pallbearers will be Ron Mullins, Micheal Mullins, Caleb Mullins, Ronnie Mullins, Michael Farris, and Kenneth Brown. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Wallace and Frank Osborne.
