Nell Hope Stout Nell Hope Stout, age 84, of Mountain City, TN passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at the Watauga Medical Center. She was born on January 11, 1936 in Johnson County, TN to the late Lawson Stanton and Elsie Ward Stanton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Stout. Nell loved her family and was truly loved by them, they meant everything to her. She raised three generations of children. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church but attended Roan Creek Baptist in her later years. Those left to cherish her memories include her sons, Larry Stout and Tom Stout and wife Sandy, grandchildren, Sheena Mains, Dylan Stout, Santana Tarlton, great- grandchildren, Connor Maze, Michael Maze, Serenity Mains, Carter Stout, Luke Dugger, Derek Tarlton, special friends, Doris Stout and Linnie Walker, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dyson Grove Church Cemetery, with Pastor David Hankel to officiate. Pallbearers will be Gary Stout, Terry Stout, Timothy Mains, Blake Stout, Tom Stout, Larry Stout, Sandy Stout and Dylan Stout. Honorary pallbearers will be Norman Clawson, Timmy Clawson, Sam Stiner, Michael Maze, Connor Maze and Serenity Mains. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.mountaincityfh.com .
