Nancy J. Feret

Nancy J. Feret, age 63, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 following a courageous battle with cancer.  She was born on September 18, 1955 to the late Orville Joseph Hilton and Hilda Ruby Cullum Hilton.  In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Olga Feret, who she took care of for many years.

Nancy was the type of person that everyone wanted to know and be friends with. She had a contagious smile and personality and wanted nothing more than to make other people smile, laugh and feel good about themselves and to just be happy.  While working full time, she was also a full time caregiver to her mother-in-law and countless others through the years.   

Nancy recently retired from Northeast Correctional Facility following 17 years of service. She had a special love for animals who she referred to as her ‘fur-babies’, especially her special dog, Annie.

Those left to cherish Nancy’s memories include her husband John Feret; sons; Jason Feret, Joseph Feret and Travis Feret; sister, Malinda Griffin; brother, Eddy Griffin; ‘adopted’ daughters, Danni and Alex Martin; special friends; Joanie Veclotch, Sharon Cable, Debbie Smith, Anne Marie Riser, Dawn Martin and many, many more.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m .Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel.  A celebration of life service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with  Chaplain Chris from Amedysis Hospice speaking.
