Monroe Johnson

Monroe D. Johnson, age 72, of Mountain City, TN, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at his home. He was born December 18, 1952 in Johnson County, TN to the late Zollie Lee Johnson and Mary Edna Brewer Johnson.

Monroe was a member of Sonshine Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Stanley Johnson; son, Billy Johnson and wife Andrea; grandchildren, McKayla Walker Barr, Maria Johnson Potter, Elizabeth Johnson, Michael Johnson and Amber Johnson; great granddaughter, Kaidence Potter known as Snowflake, along with great-grandchildren, Joseph Johnson, Ezzy Barr, Josh Barr, Jaime Barr and Kathryn Barr.

Family graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Phillippi Cemetery with Randall Johnson officiating.
