Melissa Ashley

Melissa Gail Ashley, age 48, passed away at her home on Saturday, November 5, 2022. Melissa was a lifelong resident of Washington County, Va. and attended Holston High School. During her working life she served as a caregiver for those in need. Cooking was her favorite hobby, and her family enjoyed her specialty lasagna. Melissa was preceded in death by her father, Timothy Grant; son, Corey Ashley; brother, Marshall Grant and sister, Angel McVey. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Ashley; mother, Barbara Gail Mann Grant; son, Trace Ashley; daughter, Frances Grant; brother, Junior Grant; grandchildren, Grayer Fields, Zane Ashley; nephew, Justin Porter and special dog, Lady.
