Melinda B Walls

Melinda B. Walls, age 55, of Green Cove, VA, went home to her Heavenly Father on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Johnston Memorial Hospital.  She was born December 19, 1963 to the late Frank and Mary May Buchanan.   

Melinda was a devoted Christian and member of First Baptist Church of Damascus.  She loved her Lord and Savior.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who instilled Christian values to her son. 

Melinda taught Pre-School children for 27 years.  She loved her vocation and truly invested herself and time into her students.   Melinda also enjoyed reading and flowers.

Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 24 years, Eddie Walls; son and daughter-in-law, Seth and Eva Walls of Whitetop, VA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Ron Haywood of Wilkesboro, NC, Terri Buchanan and Bob Bragg of Marion, VA, Jeanee Buchanan of Whitetop, VA and Melissa and Duane Testerman of Mouth of Wilson, VA; special grandson, Isaiah Walls; several nieces and nephews and many more special family and friends. 

Graveside service and interment will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the Green Cove Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Greg Alderman officiating.  Pallbearers will be Logan Walls, Zachary Buchanan, Frankie Griffey, Matthew Griffey, Drew Necessary, Randy Lewis.  Honorary pallbearers are all of Melinda’s special friends and family.
