Mary Cathern 'Cathie' Tester

Mary Cathern ‘Cathie’ Tester, age 89, of Sugar Grove, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at her home.  She was born on February 23, 1930 to the late Roscoe Harmon and Cazzie Trivette Harmon.  In addition to her parents, Cathie was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Paul Tester and sisters, Irene Harmon and Opal Combs.

Those left to cherish her memories include her children, Tom Tester and wife Carol of Sugar Grove, NC, Linda Fletcher and husband Leonard of Mountain City, TN and Raymond Tester and wife Monica of Sugar Grove, NC; eight grandchildren, Jimmy Tester, Brittany Dula and husband Cameron, Rebecca Miller and husband Craig, Ryan Fletcher, Cazzie, Callie, Carlson and Cadee Tester; four great grandchildren, Landry and Noah Fletcher and Charlotte and Owen Dula; one sister, Viola Harmon of Lawton, New York; brothers, Clifford Harmon and Chester Harmon and wife Gail, all of Banner Elk, NC.  She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. 

Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at the Greene Cemetery, 965 Peoria Road, Sugar Grove, NC with Pastor Raymond Tester, Pastor Leonard Fletcher and Pastor Cameron Dula officiating.
