Mary Roark

Mary Roark Roark, age 79, of Creston, NC went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at Watauga Medical Center in Boone, NC. She was born March 31, 1947 in Ashe County to the late Rommie and Ruth Price Roark. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Roark, and her brothers, Gordon Roark, Grant Roark, Lee Roark, Wayne Roark, and Max Roark.

Mary was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Sheila Wilson (Keith); son, Brian Roark; sisters, Jane Greer and Vertie Price; brothers, Grady Roark and Rocky Roark; grandchildren, Bridgette Holman (Jacob), Dylan Roark (Skyler), and Logan Roark; great-grandchildren, Adelaide Holman, Paige Holman, and Colton Roark; sister-in-law, Wanda Woodard; brothers-in-law, Eddie Roark and Boyd Roark; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Anthony Roark officiating. The graveside service and burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 25, 2026 at the Price-Roark Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Roark, Dylan Roark, Logan Roark, Michael Greer, Keith Wilson, and Jacob Holman. Honorary pallbearers are Scott Price and David Wilson.
