Mary Lorene Tester

  Mary Lorene Tester   Mary Lorene Tester, age 91, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. Mary was born on August 31, 1928 in Johnson County to the late William E. Forrester and Texa Greenwell Forrester. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Lena Forrester Crockett and two brothers, Dexter and Barton Forrester; nephew, James Forrester.   Mary will be remembered most as the kind, caring, and gentle person she was to everyone she knew. She loved her family dearly and was the world’s greatest mom and mamaw. Mary loved God and had a special church family, along with her pastor, Greg Thompson. Sunday evenings spent with family were very special to all. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church.   Those left to cherish her memories include sons, Doyle Tester and wife Patricia of Butler, TN, Richard Tester and wife Theresa of Omaha, NE; daughter, Lori Tester of Butler, TN; grandchildren, Craig Tester, Tiffany Spencer and husband Chris, Cody Tester and wife Amanda; and her special great grandchildren, Eli, Eric, Elliott, Ava, Earl, Alice and Ann Spencer and Emma Tester; nieces, Leslie Forrester and June Ellen Griffits and their families.   The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Midway Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with pastor, Greg Thompson officiating. Graveside service and burial will follow the service from the Dry Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cody Tester, James Dean Forrester, Dallas Reece, Dustin Price, Andy Johnson, Tyler Thompson, Wesley Ward, and Shane Hightower. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Forrester, Eugene “Punk” Arnold, Earl Morefield, Ronnie Laws, Larry Grindstaff, Eddie Courtner, and Thomas Pass.   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Johnson County Cancer Society c/o Flo Bellamy, 3510 Hwy. 421 N, Mountain City, TN 37683.    The family will receive friends at the home, 2811 Little Dry Run Rd, Butler, TN 37640.   Condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.mountaincityfh.com.
