Mary Jane Harless

Mary Jane Harless, age 75, of Mountain City, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born in West Jefferson, NC to the late James Millard Furches and Orphie Farmer Furches. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Harless Sr.; step-dad, Worth Stamper; several half-brothers and half-sisters.

Mary was a kind and loving mother and a very hard worker.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Those left to cherish her memories include her sons, David Burns and wife Donna, and Jackie Harless Jr.; grandchildren, Karah, Jake, Ayden, Hannah, Abel and Luke; brother, James “Jim” Furches and wife Christine of Glade Spring, VA; niece, Jessica Furches, lifelong friend, Donna Miller and several cousins.

A graveside service for Mary will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Rainbow Cemetery with Pastor Jim Furches to officiate. Pallbearers will be grandchildren and family.
