Mark Buchanan

Kevin “Mark” Buchanan, age 55, passed away August 16, 2026. Mark was born September 11, 1970 to the late Marylou Betty Buchanan. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Alexis Buchanan.

Mark was a hard worker and liked riding motorcycles. He also enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2026 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Bill Morefield officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow at Buchanan Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roy Bennett, Bo Taylor, Dennis Price, Daniel Neatherly, and John Fritts. Honorary pallbearer is Timothy Smith.
