Marjorie Lipham

While surrounded by her family, Marjorie Lipham, age 87, a native of Hardeeville, SC, left her earthly home of Butler, TN, for her heavenly home on May 26, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Lipham; son, Greg Lipham; parents, Albert and Matilda Murphy; brothers, Robert Murphy and Ronald Murphy and sisters, Betty Scott and Frances Bailey.

She leaves behind many loving family members including her sons, Wayne Lipham (wife Kathy Lipham), Mark Lipham (wife Bonny Lipham), Dennis Lipham; daughters, Sandra Hopkins (husband Gary Hopkins) and Marcia Matthews (husband Greg Matthews.) She was further blessed with 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews.

Proverbs 31:27-28 says, about the virtuous woman, “She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not call her blessed.” Margie exemplified these verses as she selflessly cared for her own family and church family at Calvary Baptist Church. She was a nurturer at heart, even when tending to her flower garden and chickens. 

Full of love, laughter, and resilience, Margie touched the lives of all who knew her. To commemorate her incredible journey and to celebrate the love she spread a graveside service will be held in her honor at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024 at Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell, GA. 

A special thanks to the hospice workers who showed her such great care during her final days here until she finally found peace in the arms of her Savior, whom she loved so dear.
