Marie Blackburn

  Anna Maria Owens Blackburn, age 61, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was born June 7, 1957 in West Chester County, PA to the late Roy Owens and Virgie Proffitt Owens. In addition to her parents Marie was preceded in death by her husband Bill Blackburn and Sister Betty Lou Garman.    Marie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and will truly be missed.   Those left to cherish her memories include her children, Eric Blackburn, Kelly Vaughn and Carrie Hampton, grandchildren, Dakota Swiney, Ericka Blackburn, Brandon Blackburn, Kendra Vaughn, Ethan Blackburn, Warren Hampton, Darien Elmore and Connor Dugger, Great-grandchildren; Evan Hutchison and Aleirah Vaughn, sister, Kathy Ward, Brothers, Lonnie Owens, Phil Owens and Franky Owens, Special sister-in-law, Barbara Blackburn and Special brother-in-law, Rick Blackburn, Nieces and Nephews, Patricia Owens, Chrissie Blackburn, Shannah Bradley, John Ward, Mary Caleb, Tammy Lum and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.   The children of Marie would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to their uncle Phil Owens for standing by their mother, comforting her, encouraging her and loving her everyday through this illness. You have been a wonderful Brother and Uncle. No words can express our appreciation.   The family will receive friend’s from 5-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Johnny Davis officiating. Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the Brown Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Phil Owens, Mike Luna, Nick Luna, Randy Elmore, Dakota Swiney, Brandon Blackburn, Ethan Blackburn and Warren Hampton     At other times the family will receive friends at the home, 310 Dotson Lane apt 37, Mountain City, TN.   Condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.mountaincityfh.com.   The family of Anna Maria Blackburn has entrusted her services to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S.
