Louise Hurd

Louise Hurd, age 75, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. She was born on September 25, 1943 to the late Paul Eller and Mary Potter Buchanan. 

Louise loved to read, especially romance novels.  She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.  Louise had a special gift of caring for others and found her calling as a caretaker.  She has assisted many families through the years by lovingly taking care of their loved ones as if they were her own.  She was dearly loved by her family and friends. 

Those left to cherish her memories include her children, Susan Dugger, Bill Hurd, Bobby Hurd; sister, Vada Eller; brothers, Roy Eller, Larry Eller, Donald Eller, Mack Eller and Elmer Eller; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the Mountain City Funeral Home.  Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Ted Lewis officiating.  Graveside service and interment will follow at Reece Memorial Cemetery.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. 

Louise’s family would like to thank all of her friends that who visited her regularly at the nursing home.  She enjoyed spending time with each of you and your visits meant so much to her.
