Loretta Lowe

Loretta Fenner Lowe, age 94, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. Loretta was born August 15, 1931 in Mountain City, TN, to the late William and Virgie Fenner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Lowe; sisters, Mae Loggins, Gladys Barlow, Beatrice Fenner, Verna Lee Gentry and brothers, Paul, William “Bill”, Clarence and Harold.

Loretta was a proud mother and grandmother. She loved God most of all and cherished her church family at Bethany Baptist Church. She was a lifetime homemaker and wonderful gardener who loved her flowers. She also enjoyed the wildlife that would frequent her property and adored her domesticated animals.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Brenda Reece and husband Thomas, Tammy Lowe, Debbie Tedder and husband Don; sons, Steve Lowe and wife Peggy, Lester Howard Lowe and wife Linda, Donald Lowe, Chad Lowe and wife Molly; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Richard Stout officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow at the Lowe Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
