Lois Beach Williams

Lois Beach Williams, age 79, of Zionville, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the Glenbridge Health and Rehab Center of Boone, North Carolina.  She was born on March 21, 1939 to the late Ralph Upton Beach and Anna Lee Isaacs Beach.  In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Williams Sr.; an infant daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Williams and a brother, Lloyd Ralph Beach.

Lois was a gifted cook and made the best pies in the world.  She enjoyed quilting and crocheting and has made many beautiful quilts, afghans and art that her family will treasure.  Lois always liked a good card game and especially enjoyed her time playing cards with her family.  She always had the most beautiful marigolds in her yard.  More than anything, Lois loved her family, they were her pride and joy.  She really enjoyed jigsaw puzzles with granddaughter Elizabeth.

She was a member of Union Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memories include her daughters, Kathy Stout of Trade, TN and Melissa Fletcher and husband Joe of Mountain City, TN; sons; Curtis Williams and Michael Williams, both of the home; sisters; Betty Lookabill and husband Jim of Boone, NC, Lynda Lawrence of Zionville, NC, Elaine Trivette and husband Alvin of Deep Gap, NC and Sharon Reece and husband Butler of Trade, TN; granddaughters, Anna Grace Stout and Elizabeth Dawn Stout, both of Trade, TN; grandsons, Matthew Brown and girlfriend Crystal Cornett, of Vilas, NC and Corey Brown of Zionville, NC; great grandchildren, Corey Dean Brown and Grace Brown, both of Mountain City, TN; many special friends and neighbors.

The family will receive friends from 12-1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Frank Johnson officiating.  Special music will be provided by Allen Yates.  Graveside service and interment will follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, located in Zionville, NC.  Pallbearers will be Matthew Brown, Jeff Beach, Ricky Cook, Butler Reece, Alvin Trivette and Joe Fletcher.  Honorary pallbearer is Jim Lookabill, Corey Paul Brown and Corey Dean Brown.

The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Glenbridge and Medi Home Health and Hospice for their compassionate and loving care given to Lois and the entire family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to assist with cost of final arrangements.
